" I work such long hours I couldn’t face getting my bathroom refurbished. Then Jenifer stepped in. Now I was able to get involved in the fun bits, like design decisions but leave the headache of detail and builders to her."

" As we had to live some distance away during our building works, we relied heavily on Jeni's abilities to motivate the builders, keep us on budget, and the project on time. Jeni presented us with great design ideas to help us make the most of our space and create the finish we were looking for. Jeni remained calm and in complete control throughout. She was involved from the start and we developed a shared vision for what our finished flat would look like. Her contacts in sourcing materials provided significant cost savings, especially in respect of kitchen and bathroom. We have added significantly to the value of our property and have a wonderful place to live. The finished flat is exactly what we had in mind when we met Jeni to discuss our ideas for the first time."

" Jenifer acted as project manager and supervised a team of superb builders. The work was of a very high standard, with minimum disruption to my neighbours and completed to schedule. Jenifer’s suggestions as to materials that were used were very welcome and time saving to me and the builder. She managed the whole project with total commitment and it was a pleasure working with her. I will have no hesitation in recommending her to my friends and I will certainly use her again if need be. A Home in Maida Vale

The house had been divided into bedsits for many years. Working with an exceptional Architect-builder, it was completely gutted, and kitchen and loft extended to create a very fabulous family home with 4 bedrooms, study, laundry room, 2 sitting rooms, dining room, eat in kitchen and 3 and 1/2 bathrooms.

"Never having done extensive building work, when we bought a large un-modernised house, we knew we would need superior support. It was a long process but we had a great builder and Landor Design to look over every detail. We both work long hours and travel a lot, so it was great to be able to rely on Jenifer and Julia for the day to day management of the work, and to get great advice on fittings and choices. We really entrusted the design decisions to them. We could never have done it without their help, and if we did it again, we would use the same team!"

A mansion flat in SW5

Having spent two years in a spacious but totally un-modernised apartment, our clients, who both work long hours, knew that help was needed if they were ever to get their project underway. With three children to consider maximizing space was paramount. Together we planned a comprehensive layout for the rooms and storage solutions that did not compromise the property’s elegant proportions.

Taking advantage of high ceilings and a narrow back hallway, a ‘loft’ was created allowing for existing cupboard pantries to be removed to create a large family kitchen. Overall storage space was increased, an additional bathroom created, and what was once a dark basement is now a fresh and bright family home.

Bespoke wardrobes and bookcases and a stunning parquet floor show this Victorian property to its best advantage.

Refurbishing a garden flat in Bedford Park

This little flat got a big makeover. The kitchen and bathroom were completely reshaped to make better use of space and to allow the small but perfectly formed kitchen to open into the reception. Both the window and door onto the garden were enlarged and the exterior ground dug out to sitting room level, creating a much brighter and more inviting space.

Grey floor tiles throughout pulled the décor together with each room using a complementing colour – aqua green in the bathroom, brick red in the kitchen and saffron yellow in the bedroom. Vintage pieces were sourced to work with the retro sofa and Ercol dining table – making for a very individual and charming flat.

A complete overhaul in Sunderland Terrace

This Victorian maisonette was a mass of little rooms crying out to be restored to former graceful proportions. With the help of an architect, we transformed the main floor into a large open plan reception. Our carpenter built a very cost effective bespoke galley kitchen and the glossy ceiling of the adjoining dining room gave an urban feel. Upstairs, three bedrooms became two, with their own bathrooms. We were given a completely open brief to design bathrooms, choose flooring, ironmongery, blinds and curtains and the bespoke carpentry bookcases and wardrobes.

The client was away for a lot of the work and really needed our constant surveillance to be sure good design decisions were being made on her behalf, and that the budget and schedule were adhered to.

A Chiswick cottage gets a spruce up

Having self-managed their kitchen extension a couple of years earlier and now with baby in tow, this time round our clients wanted help. We decided to work with existing bath and shower fittings so that the budget could extend to new cabinetry, a marble vanity top and the best chrome sink taps. Traditional fittings and painted wood floor, together with a very pretty Venetian mirror, create a lovely ambience.

The top floor bedroom had a very rarely used and awkward bathroom. This was transformed into a now much used spa-like modern shower room. The bedroom – re-carpeted, painted, and cabinetry added to make a desk alcove, has become a very cozy study and spare room.

A beautiful top floor bed and bath in Nottinghill Gate

This couple bought their large townhouse years previously and had been doing it up bit by bit. Finally it was time to focus on their top floor master suite. All the walls were removed and a new bathroom space created - more modern, spacious and elegant. The beautiful glass mosaic tiles they had chosen set the marker for a pristine perfect, yet simple oasis of calm. Top quality fittings show off the equally top quality refurbishment, compete with sliding extra height doors and concealed wardrobes.
