Designing for a large group of residents requires plenty of listening, and it is important owners feel that service charges are being spent effectively. Uniformity and simplicity are good staring points. Materials need to be durable yet attractive, and suitable to the style of the building.   

The common parts of this mansion block did not live up to its elegant exterior. Some staircases had been plastered over so these were stripped and polished. Gas meters and redundant piping were removed and individual flat doors paneled, painted glossy black and given uniform brass fittings. Lighting was updated witha more modern esthetic but in keeping with the period. The outcome was a fresh, cost effective and simple yet elegant interior, easy to maintain.

We work closely with board members and resident committees to ensure value for money and a high standard of refurbishment. With common areas it is so important thatsomeone is dedicated to protecting the interests of leaseholders and ensuring thatlarge budgets do not get out of control. We maintain a constant presence to oversee the work and troubleshoot problems before they escalate.
